CAPA is a project of the San Francisco Foundation Community Initiative Funds

CASTRO AREA PLANNING + ACTION is a member-based organization addressing particular areas of interest to the community. These areas include: Housing; Economic Development; Safety; Gay & Lesbian Visibility; Transportation, Traffic & Parking; Neighborhood Institutions; Services; and General Planning. There are currently over 100 members of CAPA. Funding comes from membership dues, which are $15 per year and from our on-going series of lectures, forums, and tours about the history of the neighborhood and other topics of interest to residents, merchants, and visitors.
